The client had an existing pond (to the right of the original picture) that couldn’t be seen from the house. He called in DU Waterscapes and we said about moving the pond into the large expanse of lawn so I could be seen from the house. A 5 x 4m ecosystem pond with a 2m waterfall was born.

A leaky traditional bare liner pond in desperate need of some help. We rebuilt this into one of our smallest ecosystem ponds (2 x 1.8m) with a 0.5m cascade adjacent to bring the garden alive with the sound of babbling water.

An unfortunate attempt by a general landscaper to create a functioning pond, this did not fit the clients expectations and desires for their outside space. The waterfall wasn’t facing the viewing area and the feature did not function properly. We came in to create a 4 x 3m ecosystem pond with a low profile 3m babbling stream to blend into this very flat back garden.

A couple that had recently moved into a new house acquired a defunct pond in need of a face lift. We ripped out the old pond and created a bespoke ecosystem pond that is 5 x 3m with a 3m tumbling waterfall. We incorporated a piece of a large root that was dug out only a few centimetres from where it went back into the pond. There is no better way to soften a feature.

A blank slate to create a wildlife friendly pond was presented to DU Waterscapes. We created a 3 x 2m still water pond which heavily relies on the ecosystem finding a balance, through aquatic plant life as well as the other bugs and beasties that keep our still water ponds in tip-top condition.

This traditional English pond had become a tiresome bore to maintain for our clients. They found us whilst we were undertaken a project in their neighbourhood. We came in and created a bespoke pond, a 3 x 2m ecosystem pond with a 3m stream and waterfall.

Yes there is a water feature in there somewhere. We transformed this neglected pond into a beautiful ecosystem pond with a cascading waterfall.

We transformed a flaking fibreglass pond into a fully functioning aquatic ecosystem pond with a one-of-a-kind cascade & waterfall.

We transformed this formal fish pool, not at all in keeping with the surrounding landscape into a naturalistic ecosystem pond, large constructed wetland acting as a wildlife refuge zone connected with a custom stream.

Wildlife haven

A wildlife pond should consist of plants, look natural and entice owners to sit by them and enjoy the abundance of wildlife we have here in the UK, including Dragonflies, Damselflies, frogs and toads. They should create a little haven for this wildlife as their natural habitats continue to diminish.
