A resilient fish able to handle all different kinds of water but prefer cooler temperatures of around 20 degrees, making them ideally suited to garden ponds. Several varieties of goldfish are available with comets being the most commonly accessible. Most goldfish will live around 5 to 10 years, although they are known to live up to 25 years in the wild. They will grow to a decent size (around 15cm) if cared for properly. Do not house smaller goldfish if you intend on having larger fish or turtles that could inflict potential harm.
