Back yard babbling brook

Our clients were in the middle of renovating their garden when they called us to enquire about adding a water feature to a barren area of the back garden. They were quite unsure of what they wanted, they just knew it had to be water of some kind with minimal maintenance, a fantastic blank canvas for our designers to ‘paint’.

The aquatic sanctuary

The clients wanted the pond to be deep with fish caves due to visiting Heron, this was incorporated into the design and lights were also added so as the clients could enjoy their pond even in the darkness of winter evenings, looking on from their warm conservatory.

Ecosystem pond

This unique, one of a kind creation gave us a lot fun in bringing to life and it always equally joyful to witness the smiles on our clients faces when they realise that water can be clear, fish can be seen and an aquatic ecosystem can thrive with the right touches.

Educational ecosystem pond

The design brief was to create an outside classroom for the children to learn about our native environment through a lottery funded grant. Creating such a unique experience was particularly exciting for Dan, our lead designer, whose childhood memories were filled with pond dips, fishing and having an avid fascination with all things water.

The walled oasis

Moving home is always a big adventure, moving to the rolling hills of Somerset with several large Koi is more than an adventure, it’s a challenge! Our clients did just this and upon arrival gave DU Waterscapes a wonderful blank canvas to create a new home for their Koi.

Wildlife haven

A wildlife pond should consist of plants, look natural and entice owners to sit by them and enjoy the abundance of wildlife we have here in the UK, including Dragonflies, Damselflies, frogs and toads. They should create a little haven for this wildlife as their natural habitats continue to diminish.
